A New Church in Kansas City
We don’t just recite and memorize; we live the Gospel. We grow together, seek Christ together, and strive to fully engage in the life of the Church. Our church is not confined to buildings; our church is in the hearts of the faithful and fully alive!
Our parishioners range in age from six months to eighty-six years. We are married, single, partnered, and widowed. We are racially, politically, and ethnically diverse. But we are one body in Jesus Christ and unified by the Holy Eucharist.
We are an affirming Catholic community served by the clergy of the Society of Christ the King. We provide a dynamic traditional Catholic Liturgy, an inclusive Catholic formation program, and a community formed with a strong emphasis on engaging and missional ministry.

our Catholicity
Christ the King is a Catholic Community that operates independently and is ministered by the clergy of the Society of Christ the King. We seek to collaborate with, support, and pray for our Catholic siblings whenever and wherever possible and remain sacramentally united through our baptism, confirmation, and the Blessed Sacrament.
Speaking on the issue, then-Cardinal Josef Ratzinger wrote,
"Therefore, there exists a single Church of Christ, which subsists in the Catholic Church, governed by the Successor of Peter and by the Bishops in communion with him. The Churches which, while not existing in perfect communion with the (Roman) Catholic Church, remain united to her by means of the closest bonds, that is, by apostolic succession and a valid Eucharist, are true particular Churches. Therefore, the Church of Christ is present and operative also in these Churches..." (from Dominus Ieusus)
